This is a north-facing 5' x 1' window well outside my bedroom window. It is just dry dirt and debris right now. Originally, I had planned on planting edibles such as herbs and greens. After some reconsideration, I am now planning to plant something more ornamental such as roses. The window well is at ground level next to the parking lot and is probably not the best place to be growing and harvesting edibles.
