Just moved in January 2010, but are super excited to create an edible landscape of both perennials and annuals. Right now, we're working on digging out sunken beds and are elated about building soil via sheet mulching using alpaca manure, waste veggies from Sunflower Market, scavenged leaves, & Pablo's coffee grounds. Our excellent sunny southern exposure will hopefully bring a bountiful harvest. =D
Our interests include:
- hoop houses
- drip irrigation
- soil building
- starting seeds indoors
- obscure perennials
- grafting fruit trees
- edible weeds
- creative rainwater redirecting systems
Wants/Needs:
- BRICKS!! I really would love some free bricks!!
- Irrigation tubing for drip irrigation as well as building a hoop house
- Perforated drain pipe for rerouting water flow from the many downspouts coming off of the house.
PS We're renting, so probably no livestock in our future. ...But perhaps we'll spring for a beehive in the coming months!
