Just moved in January 2010, but are super excited to create an edible landscape of both perennials and annuals. Right now, we're working on digging out sunken beds and are elated about building soil via sheet mulching using alpaca manure, waste veggies from Sunflower Market, scavenged leaves, & Pablo's coffee grounds. Our excellent sunny southern exposure will hopefully bring a bountiful harvest. =D

PS We're renting, so probably no livestock in our future. ...But perhaps we'll spring for a beehive in the coming months!

 We are on a steep, south-facing hillside, so we built a series of terraces for a vegetable garden, plus some additional cratered-scallops for a fruit tree orchard. There's no greenhouse just yet, but that's part of the grand plan, as is a berned-in chicken coop for hens that we already have. The coop should be done by winter, for sure... right now the ladies have a temporary structure.
