My garden has five raised beds and a chicken coop with five hens. I have two apple trees and am working edibles into other parts of my landscape. I love that my neighborhood is showing more signs of people wanting to grow their own food.

Thanks to Kelly Ballantyne of Edible Backyards for All and his brother, Jeff, the Cottage on Bails Place now has a permaculture vegetable and herb garden in place. Produce includes eggplant, collard greens, brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, bell pepper, cabbage, peas, beans, onion, squash, zucchini, parsley, basil, oregano, thyme. spinach, lettuce, carrots, kale, Swiss chard, dill. mint, rosemary and marjoram. Not much rhubarb left after the last hailstorm.
Marvie, the grateful owner of this garden would like to welcome others who are willing to assist in the maintenance of this garden by weeding, watering, composting. troubleshooting, and harvesting etc. in exchange for a share in the bountiful harvest.
