Breaking Ground aims to convert vacant redevelopment sites to urban gardens/farms. The pilot project in Denver's Highland neighborhood was donated by architect and developer Jim Schneck, is being managed by volunteer farmers Jason and Kate McRoy, and maintained by Independence House. The produce will be donated to local food banks.
